PLAA Class of 2015-16: Final Presentations

Under the direction of President Michael Benson, the President’s Leadership in Action Academy (PLAA) was established in the spring of 2014. The PLAA program is a one-year commitment that offers a unique, professional development opportunity for aspiring leaders with the University. This elite group is selected through a rigorous application process, with up to 10 – 15 participants each year. The four major components of this program are Leadership, Leadership in Action, Internships, and a Group Project.

For months, the 2015-2016 participants worked together in two separate groups to identify a challenge facing the University, develop a solution to the challenge, and implement the solution to the identified challenge. On Wednesday, May 25, each group gave a 15-minute summary presentation on the following:

Student Success Innovation
Dr. Michelyn Bhandari, Dr. Russell Carpenter, Kelly Smith, and Sandy Stevens

Taking the Lead
Karrie Adkins, Stephen Greenwell, Mark Howard, Dr. Gill Hunter, Mark Maier, Brent Parmer, Marissa Parmer, Dr. John Taylor, Kelly Walker, and Dr. Matthew Winslow
